In addition to applying a few balance changes, the new update fixes a problem with invisible troops, making them vulnerable again to splash damage. Below, you can check out the full patch notes of the update.

Clash Royale Update Patch Notes (April 8)

  • Fix an issue where invisible troops were not receiving splash damage.
  • Apply balance changes for Mighty Miner and Earthquake – details below:
  • Might Miner:
    • Explosive Escape ability cost: 2 -> 1
    • Immune to knockback
  • Earthquake:
    • Crown Tower Damage: -23%

This is surely significant nerf for the Earthquake card, which is a great defense for disturbing the fast enemy units or getting them off of the towers. Although players usually don’t use Earthquake strictly for damaging the opponent’s towers, when you are in the final seconds of a match and your enemy’s tower is a few points away from being crushed, using Earthquake to destroy a tower would be a crucial strategy as no counter could stop it.

Clash Royale is now available for free on Android and iOS devices. Although the game is also playable on PC using the Android emulators, you will still get the best experience when you play it on mobile.
