It’s been a while that the NBA 2K titles don’t satisfy the fans as much as the older entries. The game’s excessive reliability on in-game purchases makes the gameplay a complete grind almost in every major mode.

Currently, we are in a time of the year that the next entry of the NBA 2K series should be announced sooner or later. However, NBA 2K21 still has some issues that need to be fixed. The latest update from 2K Games targets the AI system in The Rec, fixes a bug in Rookieville, and adds new season court floors to WNBA.
NBA 2K21 Update Today, June 23 – Patch Notes
- WNBA court floors and dornas have been updated for the new season.
- Rookieville has been modified to allow for easier entry into The City for new players. A 1v1 court with a CPU opponent will now be available to ensure there is always an opponent.
- AI generated players will now have appropriate heights, by position, when playing games in The Rec.
It’s yet to be seen whether the next NBA 2K title will continue the current system or add more new fan-favorite features, but if it works financially, then it’s hard-to-believe to see a major change in the franchise in the near future.
NBA 2K21 is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. If you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you can play it for free. It’s worth noting that you can grab some special prizes and packs in MyTeam mode by completing the NBA 2K21 Xbox Game Pass quests.
