NieR Reincarnation Reroll Guide - Crossover Summons, Which Characters Should You Keep?

Table of Contents

Square Enix finally released the global version of NieR Reincarnation on iOS and Android, and you might be thinking of rerolling, there are several characters you can aim for and keep.

Funnily enough, back when the game launched in Japan, producer Yosuke Saito noted how they made the servers buff enough to be sure there are no issues even if players reroll and make dozens of new accounts.

NieR Reincarnation reroll guide – Who should you aim to pull in the gacha?

First off, four star is the maximum rarity in the game, so this is what you should be aiming for when rerolling. Note that there isn’t any reliable data out yet on the characters and you shouldn’t believe tier lists published before release. Seeing they use the Japanese version of the game, which is balanced differently. Square Enixexplicitly said so after the Beta Test for the Global version.

Secondly, NieR Reincarnation global is holding a special collab with NieR Automata right off the bat. The Japanese server did it too at release, but it didn’t include 2P. The collaboration crossover event is time-limited. Though it’s likely to get a rerun. The Japanese server actually just started on July 29 a rerun of the NieR Automata collab with 2P too.

In other words, when rerolling, you’d definitely want to aim for the collab characters: 9S, 2B, A2, Fio (in 2B’s outfit), 2P, and Akeha. With a preference towards the Automata trio of 2B, 9S, and A2. These three are the characters you definitely want to keep a rerolling account for if you pull them.

Square Enix will hold regular live streams for the global version of Reincarnation, introducing new events. The Japanese version also has regular live streams. The 8th stream happenedon July 16 with several seiyuu as guests. You should definitely keep an eye on these streams if you plan to keep playing NieR Reincarnation in the long run. Personally, I’ll be trying out the global version as soon as I can as well. Last but not least, Yosuke Saito and Yoko Taro are also working on new games together.
