Are Wooloo/Dubwool Good? Best Moveset & Shiny Status
Table of Contents
Galarian Pokemon have been in Pokemon GO since all the way back in 2019 when Galarian Weezing entered raids as part of a crossover with Pokemon Sword and Shield.
The likes of Galarian Ponyta, Galarian Zigzagoon, Galarian Stunfisk and more regional variations followed the smoggy Pokemon soon after.
However, those variations were the only Galarian representation in Pokemon GO. That was until the Ultra Unlock Part 3 event kicked off, releasing seven more Pokemon that first appeared in that region.
We take a look at two of those, Wooloo and Dubwool, to see if they are any good in Pokemon GO, as well as their best moveset, PVP relevance and if they can be shiny.
Can Wooloo and Dubwool Be Shiny In Pokemon GO?
As with the majority of Pokemon that debut in Pokemon GO, neither Wooloo nor Dubwool can be Shiny. They’re likely to be held back for a later date.
However, with the popularity of the two Pokemon in Sword and Shield, I personally don’t think it will be too long before we see their alternate colour scheme – the duo are even one of my predictions for this September’s Community Day.

Are Wooloo and Dubwool Good In Pokemon GO? Best Moveset Explained
For the sake of this, we’ll ignore Wooloo as it is no good in Pokemon GO’s PVP modes.
Unfortunately though, because of Dubwool’s Normal typing, it doesn’t make much of a splash, if any, in the GO Battle League either.
PVPoke suggests it is the 568th best Pokemon in the Great League, the 411th in the Ultra League and 399th best in the Master League, where it manages to beat Darkrai and not a lot else.
Wooloo and Dubwool are definitely in the camp of ‘Dex fillers.
If you do decide to use Dubwool, here is its best moveset in Pokemon GO:
- Fast Move – Tackle
- Charged Move – Body Slam
- Charged Move – Wild Charge/Payback
