How To Establish a Device Uplink In Zero Build

The very first stage of the new Fortnite Covert Ops Quests has arrived and players are being tasked with establishing a device uplink in the popular zero build mode.

Epic Games revealed the new Covert Ops Quests as a part of the Fortnite v20.20 update earlier this week, whilst informing players that they must finish both stages of each Quest before time runs out to receive the next Quest. As mentioned previously, stage one and two of the first quest is now live and is ‘Establish a Device Uplink in Zero Build’.

Upon completing the first stage, the second stage then requires users to eliminate 10 players in Zero Build mode. So, if you’re eager to complete the new challenges as quickly as possible, here’s everything you need to know.

How To Establish a Device Uplink In Zero Build

Below you will find a map of the Fortnite island, to complete the quest ‘establish a device uplink in zero build’, players will need to drop in at one of the following locations on the map below.

At these locations is an uplink, simply walk through the device and the voiceover will begin playing, this will then initiate the second part of the quest.

Players will then be prompted to eliminate 10 players in a zero build match, as seen in the second image below.

It is currently unknown exactly what the remaining Covert Ops Quests will consist of, but we do know that each quest will consist of two stages and are set to arrive at the following dates and times:

Quest 1: Begins April 22 at 9 AM ET and ends April 26 at 8:59 AM ET

Finished Quest 1 before April 26 at 8:59 AM ET? You’ll proceed to Quest 2!

Quest 2: Begins April 26 at 9 AM ET and ends April 28 at 8:59 AM ET

Finished Quest 2 before April 28 at 8:59 AM ET? You’ll proceed to Quest 3!

Quest 3: Begins April 28 at 9 AM ET and ends April 30 at 8:59 AM ET

Finished Quest 3 before April 30 at 8:59 AM ET? You’ll proceed to Quest 4!

Quest 4: Begins April 30 at 9 AM ET and ends May 2 at 8:59 AM ET

Finished Quest 4 before May 2 at 8:59 AM ET? The operation is complete! And your reward? The Secret Sledge Pickaxe.
