Respawn Entertainment and EA are set to bring one of the most popular Battle Royale shooters on the market to mobile devices later this week, as Apex Legends gears up for an official release on iOS and Android.

Although classic legends such as Octane, Bangalore, Lifeline, and more are set to return in the mobile version of Apex Legends, fans might be disappointed to learn that there will be a limited lineup on launch. With the console and PC version of Apex Legends currently having 21 playable characters, further legends will likely join the mobile version in the future.

However, the developers have confirmed that mobile players will receive a brand new and exclusive legend known as Fade. Also known as the “Phasing Punisher”, Fade will have the ability to flashback to previous locations, send other legends into a void, and slipstream speed burst.

If you’re just as excited as we are to jump into Apex Legends Mobile, here’s the official release date, launch time, and how crossplay is going to work between mobile, consoles, and PC.

Apex Legends Mobile: Crossplay Status Explained

Similar to the console and PC version of Apex Legends, the mobile version will still be completely free-to-play. However, the developers have confirmed via an FAQ that it will NOT feature any form of crossplay between the other versions of the Battle Royale.

The reason for this is reportedly due to the fact that Apex Legends Mobile was built from the ground up. For more details on the launch of Apex Legends Mobile, visit the official EA website.
