Toxicroak Weakness Pokemon GO - Raid Guide and Best Counters June 2021
Table of Contents
Pokemon GO’s brand new event, A Very Slow Discovery, is getting underway around the world.
With it comes new spawns, some debuting Pokemon, a bunch of different bonuses and research tasks and of course, a Raid Boss switcheroo.
One of the new Raid Bosses is a Pokemon that’s not featured all too often, that Pokemon is Toxicroak.
So, with that in mind, here is every Toxicroak weakness in Pokemon GO and all the counters you’ll need to help you to victory.
Every Toxicroak Weakness in Pokemon GO
Toxicroak probably has the most interesting type combination of the new raid bosses, Fighting and Poison.
This leaves it with three weaknesses – Flying and Ground-type moves will do double-damage against the Pokemon, however, it’s Psychic-type weakness is the one you should look to exploit.
Psychic-type moves will do 4x damage to Toxicroak.
Best Counters for Toxicroak’s Weaknesses
As stated, your best option in Three-Star Toxicroak raids is by far Psychic-type Pokemon.
Mega Gengar, despite not being a Psychic-type, is the only Mega Pokemon that’s worth bringing into battle.
Overall, however, Mewtwo is by far the best choice.
Following that, both Latios and Latias are good options alongside Metagross, Espeon, Lugia, Gallade, Alakazam and Azelf.
The best movesets for each of the above Pokemon can be found below:
- Mewtwo – Psycho Cut/Psystrike
- Mega Gengar – Lick/Sludge Bomb
- Latios – Zen Headbutt/Psychic
- Latias – Zen Headbutt/Psychic
- Alakazam – Confusion/Psychic
- Metagross – Zen Headbutt/Psychic
- Espeon – Confusion/Psychic
- Lugia – Extrasensory/Future Sight
- Gallade – Confusion/Psychic
- Azelf – Extrasensory/Future Sight
Providing you bring a selection of these Pokemon, or other high-level Psychic-types, Toxicroak should be an easy solo.
