Ridley Scott’s Raised by Wolves is a famous American science fiction drama series. The show’s story is set in a post-apocalyptic setting where two Androids get the responsibility of raising a human child. However, the differences in humans that led to the destruction of Earth still exist, making things difficult for the Androids.

HBO Max released the first season of Raised by Wolves in September 2020. The show was well-received by the community; however, some fans felt that the show went downhill after a couple of episodes. Nevertheless, fans are still excited to see how the story moves forward in the next season.

Raised by Wolves Season 1 Quick Recap

The first season begins with Mother and Father escaping Earth because of the ongoing war between atheists and Mithraic. They bring human embryos with them to start fresh on Kepler-22b. Years later, we see that only one human child, Campion, has survived. After that, the Mother brings five Mithraic children to raise with Campion after destroying the group’s vessel. However, Campion later discovers that the Mother is poisoning other children, so he starts finding out the Android’s true intention.

As other children start getting sick, Campion escapes from the grasp of Mother. Fortunately, Father finds every child, excluding Paul, who gets separated from the rest of the group. Meanwhile, Marcus and Sue, the parents of Paul, do everything in their power to initiate a rescue mission to save the children from Mother.

Now, Marcus and Sue attack the settlement at Kepler-22b to rescue the children. Mother starts learning more about her creator through the Mithraic simulator. Surprisingly, Marcus successfully holds Mother captive, leaving Campion with a difficult choice. Campion now has to decide between rescuing Mother or siding with the Mithraic.

However, Marcus goes insane and becomes hostile because of the voices inside his head. During the chaos, Mother takes the opportunity to escape, and she later finds out that she is pregnant.

Finally, Mother, Father, and children search for a safe place to start their settlement. Also, Mother gives birth to a snake-like creature. They also find out that the creatures they hunted all this while on the planet were, in fact, “devolved” humans. Finally, the season ends with Mother and Father’s failed suicide attempt and the snake creature escaping their grasp.

Season 2 of Raised by Wolves will premiere on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022.

The creators confirmed that the second season would premiere with the release of the first two episodes. And, of course, the show will be available to watch exclusively on HBO Max, so make sure to get a subscription to the service if you don’t have it already.
