With Monster Hunter Rise, Capcom has shown off a bunch of different editions and extras. The game has Standard, Deluxe and Collector’s editions available, along with Amiibo, a special limited edition console and a limited Pro Controller. Monster Hunter Rise Standard Edition – What’s included?

As expected, the Monster Hunter Rise Standard Edition is just that, the standard version of the game. This edition of the game comes simply with the game and a pre-order bonus. It is available for pre-order from most retailers for $59.99/£49.99 from most retailers.

The pre-order bonus that comes included with both this and the Deluxe Edition is as follows:

• Palamute Retriever Costume layered armour
• Palico Forest Cat Costume layered armour
• Novice Talisman for some extra assistance in the early stages

Monster Hunter Rise Deluxe Edition – What’s included?

The Deluxe Edition of Monster Hunter Rise comes with everything that the Standard Edition comes with, however, includes a few extra items. These are as follows:

• Kamurai Hunter layered armour set
• Shuriken Collar Palamute layered armour piece
• Fish Collar Palico layered armour piece
• Gestures (4 Jumps)
• Samurai pose set
• Kabuki face paint
• Izuchi Tail hairstyle

Which one should you choose?

It all depends on how big of a Monster Hunter fan you are really. For me, spending an extra $10/£10 on a handful of cosmetic items feels a little steep, especially when you’re unlikely to use most of the armour for very long. That being said, Monster Hunter has a dedicated following, and for those, this may be worth it.
