Popular open-world RPG Genshin Impact just releasedits Version 2.5, adding a new weekly boss with the Trounce Domain End of the Oneiric Euthymia and the fight “Memories: Guardian of Eternity” – here’s how you unlock the Domain and our tips to defeat the boss.
How to unlock the Raiden Shogun weekly boss Trounce Domain: End of the Oneiric Euthymia in Genshin Impact
In order to unlock the Domain, you’ll need to clear the Raiden Shogun Story Quest Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter: Act II – Transient Dreams. The Quest is a succession of dialogues, with a few fights against Rifthounds, so you shouldn’t need any help in particular to clear it.
Note that you need to have finished Act I for Act II to appear. Once you’ve cleared Act I, go to the Paimon Menu, the Quests menu, then click Story Quests at the bottom left of the screen. You’ll need to use 2 Story Keys to unlock the Quest. You can get 1 Story Key by completing 8 Daily Commissions.
Once you’ve finished the Story Quest Act II – Transient Dreams, the End of the Oneiric Euthymia Trounce Domain will appear in Inazuma, beneath the Great Narukami Shrine. You’ll be able to teleport to it directly via the world map.
Visually speaking, you’ll find inside the Trounce Domain the same boss as in the Story Quest you just completed, Magatsu Mitake Narukami no Mikoto: Raiden no Inazuma Tono. However it’s a pretty different version of the fight, with new gameplay mechanics.

How to defeat the Raiden Shogun Weekly Boss in Memories: Guardian of Eternity
The boss fight will start with the Raiden Shogun in human form, but she’ll be much faster and more aggressive than in the Story Quest. She also has way more HP. In the first phase, the Raiden Shogun will mainly use quick close-ranged attacks.
The Baleful Shadowlord is the official name of the Raiden Shogun’s second phase, when she switches to the puppet form. The Raiden Shogun will switch to that form at some point of the fight no matter what. However, if you manage to avoid her attacks as much as possible, she will take longer to switch and you’ll delay the transformation.
In the Baleful Shadowlord form, the Raiden Shogun has an Electro barrier that increases her DMG RES. The barrier has a separate HP bar in purple, found below the boss’ HP bar. The barrier will drain the Elemental Energy of your characters at certain intervals. In other words, when your Energy is full, it’s best to use your Elemental Burst right away, or else you’ll loose the Energy and won’t be able to use it anymore.
How to break the Baleful Shadowlord form and the Raiden Shogun’s barrier
Pick at least one Pyro or Cryo character in your party and use their Elemental attacks to trigger Electro related reactions like Overloaded and Superconduct. These will deal more damage to the barrier and help you obtain Energy.
I recommend bringing Pyro and Cryo characters who can continuously dish out Elemental DMG, like Yanfei, Yoimiya, Ayaka, Ganyu, etc. Xiangling will work perfectly too if you don’t have any 5-star Pyro character raised.
I recommend picking only one Electro character in your party, and at least one Shield character (Noelle or Zhongli) or healer (Barbara or Kokomi). Having an Electro character will make the boss fight much easier, as Electro DMG is much more efficient to destroy the Flower of Remembrance and avoid the Raiden Shogun’s fatal attack.
However, Electro characters can’t efficiently damage the Baleful Shadowlord barrier, so don’t bring more than one.
Once the barrier is down, the Raiden Shogun will go back to human form and stay immobilized for several seconds. This is your chance to deal massive damage and end the fight. If she’s still alive after that, she will go back to human form rather than the puppet Baleful Shadowlord form. You can see how I ended up breaking the barrier and how the Raiden Shogun gets stunned in the gameplay below:
General tips and strategy for the Raiden Shogun weekly boss
In human form, the Raiden Shogun will also summon clones like in the Story Quest, but this time they will explode and deal Electro DMG when you kill them. So it’s best to attack them from a distance.
Raiden Shogun in human form will also temporarily summon an Electro barrier at times. You can break the barrier by dealing Elemental DMG that react with Electro, so again, go with Cryo and Pyro.
Just like in every Trounce Domain, there are various difficulty levels from I to IV, with a recommended party level of 60 to 90 respectively. This guide is for the highest difficulty level, but everything also applies to lower difficulties. you can also play the Trounce Domain in online co-op.
Remember you can use an Insulation Potion to increase your Electro RES by 25%. All of the attacks used by Magatsu Mitake Narukami no Mikoto are Electro-based. But if you have a good shield character like Zhongli, you might want to use offensive potions instead.
