Blizzard has finally released the World Of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade and it’s time to enter the Outlands through the Dark Portal.

The plot of WoW: TBC revolves around the opening of the Dark Portal to Outland, where the Burning Legion rules.

In this article, we shall discuss more about what is Dark Portal, how to find it, and the benefits of Dark Portal pass.

The Dark Portal

In the Burning Crusade Classic version, the story continues with the Burning Legion that arrives at Outland, seeking its revenge on the wayward demon hunter and to reclaim the shattered world.

Since their conquest will not stop until they pour into Azeroth, the Horde and Alliance prepare for a preemptive strike by using the Dark Portal to attack the demonic forces that constructed it.

To drive these terrors back to the abyss, players must step through the Dark Portal which serves as a gateway between the two world.

Where Is The Dark Portal In TBC?

You can get to the Dark Portaleither as Alliance or Horde to access Outlands in Burning Crusade Classic.

Getting to the Dark Portal as Alliance:

The Dark Portal quest starts with the trainers in Stormwind City. (It’s a breadcrumb so it’s not strictly necessary to pick up, but if you don’t know the Nethergarde Keep flight point, it will save time to do so.) The quest requires you to speak with Watch Commander Relthorn Netherwane at the entrance to the Dark Portal in the Blasted Lands.

From here, go to the flight point at Nethergarde Keep in Blasted Lands. If you don’t know this flight point, go to Stormwind and talk to Dungar Longdrink, the Gryphon Master. If you’ve picked up the quest The Dark Portal , you will have a dialogue option to take a flight to Nethergarde Keep.

Once in Nethergarde Keep, simply go west out of Nethergarde Keep, and head south directly to the Dark Portal.

Getting to the Dark Portal as Horde:

Here, The Dark Portal quest starts with the trainers in Orgrimmar. The quest instructs you to report to Warlord Dar’toon at the entrance to the Dark Portal in the Blasted Lands.

Now, you need to get to Stonard in Swamp of Sorrows and for that you have a couple choices.

You can either ask a friendly Mage to use Portal: Stonard, which is the fastest way. Or, you can take the zeppelin to Grom’gol Base Camp, which is is located outside Orgrimmar.

Once at Grom’gol Base Camp, talk to Thysta, the flight master in Grom’gol. If you have picked up the quest The Dark Portal, she will offer you an option to take you to Stonard. On reaching Stonard, turn west and then south to go to Blasted Lands, from where it’s a straight shot downward to the Dark Portal.

The Dark Portal Pass In TBC

The Burning Crusade Classic’s “Dark Portal Pass” costs $39.99 which gives you a level 58 boost right off the bat.

It’s important to note that the newly boosted character can only be created on a Burning Crusade server.
