What is NieR Replicant ver.1.22?

The confusion surrounding the game is very real. The game initially released in 2010 and was called NieR Replicant in Japan and simply NieR in the West. In addition to having different names, there was a major difference between the two games: the protagonist and central characters.

In both games, you play as a character named Nier who is trying to rescue someone named Yonah. However, in NieR Replicant, Nier is a teenage boy trying to rescue his sister and in NieR, he’s a middle-aged man rescuing his daughter. The plot of both games remains relatively the same, the only differences come from the dialogue surrounding the two main character differences.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22 is a remaster of the original Japanese version of the game that was never released in the West. So, if you’re looking for a game about a father and his daughter, then this isn’t the game you’re looking for.
