In a surprising announcement, Rocksteady director Sefton Hill stated that the game will not be coming this year anymore. However, now Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been delayed and will be coming out in Spring 2023. Sefton mentions that it is quite a difficult decision for them, but the extra time is going to help them deliver a better game.

Although the exact reason for the delay isn’t mentioned, it could be that the pandemic disrupted the planned timeline of the game. This is not the only game that has been delayed due to the pandemic, and we have witnessed several other titles having their release date delayed.
