Cotton-Winged Bird Pokemon GO Community Day Event Ticket
Table of Contents
It’s almost that time of the month, once again, when a single Pokemon steps into the limelight for a day.
This time out, Pokemon GO’s May Community Day is focused on none other than Swablu and, by default, its evolution Altaria.
As always, Community Day this month comes with a Special Research Ticket that players can purchase to enhance the event.
Here are all the details you need to know about the Cotton-Winged Bird Special Research story, including price, potential research and rewards.
What’s Coming This Community Day?
Well as mentioned, May’s Pokemon GO Community Day features Swablu in the spotlight.
This means that players have an opportunity to catch the Normal/Flying-type Pokemon in abundance. It also means that its Shiny rate will be massively boosted, offering players their best chance at catching that golden bird.
Unfortunately, for players, however, Swablu’s Shiny form has been available for some time – so a little of the event’s allure has been taken away.
As has become common place on Community Days, alongside the Special Research Tickets, Niantic is offering players a Community Day Box.
This box contains 50 Ultra Balls, five Super Incubators, Five Incense and an Elite Fast TM for 1,280 PokeCoins.
On evolving Swablu during this Community Day, players will receive an Altaria that knows a special Fairy-type move, Moonblast.
The bonuses players will receive during the event are 1/4 hatch distance and three-hour Incubators.
The Cotton-Winged Bird Community Day Special Research Story Details
The Cotton-Winged Bird Community Day Special Research Story will kick off worldwide on Saturday, May 15, from 11 am local time.
While the Community Day finishes at 5 pm, the story will be available for completion after that.
The ticket won’t break the bank for players, costing $0.99 or the equivalent costs.
Rewards and research haven’t officially been announced for the event yet, however, they have followed a very similar pattern over the last few months.
Tasks you can expect are:
- Power Up Pokemon X Times
- Catch X Swablu
- Make X Nice/Great/Curveball Throws
- Transfer X Pokemon
- Evolve X Swablu
Usually, the rewards contain a range of Poke/Great/Ultra Balls, Rocket Radars, Stardust, XP, Rare Candy and Pokemon encounters.
We’ll be sure to update this further as we find out more details.
