CS:GO Update 1.38.1.3 Patch Notes Today (December 28)

A brand new update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) was deployed earlier today (December 28) for all Steam users, bringing the game to version 1.38.1.3.

CS:GO 2022 Service Medals

Today’s update has added the game files for the brand new 2022 Service Medals, which will be available starting on January 1st, 2022.

According to the official CS:GO website, when players reach Global General (Rank 40), they will have the option to reset their Profile Rank and earn (or upgrade) a new 2022 Service Medal. The 2022 Service Medal is an inspectable display item that will be visible wherever your avatar is shown.

CS: GO Patch Notes (December 28)

As of writing, Valve is yet to release the official patch notes for the December 28 CS:GO update. However, we do know that today’s patch was to include the files for the 2022 Service Medals, possibly amongst other things.

According to SteamDB, the following changes were made in today’s CS: GO update:

  • Updated localization files for Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, English, Finnish, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish – Spain, Swedish, Traditional Chinese, and Turkish.
