Sometimes the story of the Peacemaker looks simple and straightforward. A bunch of folks known as the A.R.G.U.S has to locate and kill the creatures known as Butterflies. But sometimes, it makes us scratch our heads and make us wonder what on earth is going on in the show. The same thing happened when Adebayo secretly placed a diary in the Peacemaker’s house.

Plot About Peacemaker’s Diary Explained

The diary first appeared in the show in the 5th episode when Adebayo is bonding with Peacemaker. Adebayo is probably told to place the diary in the Peacemaker’s home by her mother, Amanda Waller, the director of the A.R.G.U.S organization. She intentionally places the diary in such a place that the Peacemaker could not find it. The episode ends without giving any explanation about the diary.

Now we are in the sixth episode, and everything gets messed up when the police department, including Caspar Locke, get turned into Butterflies. The real deal with the diary is explored at the end of the episode when Caspar Locke is attending a press conference. He tells in the meeting that after a search at Chris Smith’s place, they found a diary that tells that Chris thinks the world is invaded by the aliens and they are posing as human beings. And now it’s his job to find and kill all the aliens.

Caspar further tells that the diary explains the murder of Annie Sturphausen and the murder of Royland Goff and 33 victims at the Glan Tai bottling plant. Now, the police have new orders to stop Peacemaker by hook or crook. By the look at Adebayo’s face, it seems like she didn’t know what she was doing, and she probably didn’t read the diary before placing it.

Amanda probably planned this whole thing out to target only Peacemaker if anything goes wrong with their plan. By doing so, Adebayo and all other group members will not get linked to the case, and this is what happens in the 6th episode.
