Written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo, Spy X Family follows the story of three characters, Loid Forger (Twilight), Yor Forger (Thorn Princess), and Anya Forger. Basically, it focuses on a messed-up team-up of an assassin, a spy, and a child who can read thoughts.
Wit Studio and CloverWorks announced that they are working on an anime adaptation of Tatsuya Endo’s manga series. Both of these animation studios are known for their spectacular work on several big projects. So, it should be no surprise that millions of fans are waiting for the much-awaited premiere of the upcoming anime.

Spy x Family Release Time and Date on Crunchyroll
Episode 1 of Spy x Family is scheduled to release worldwide on Saturday, April 9th, 2022, at 8:30 AM PT (Pacific Timing).
The show will be available to watch on Crunchyroll, and the streaming platform confirmed the above release time. However, the timing of the premiere will vary depending on your region, so here’s the exact release time for these regions:
- Pacific Time: 8:30 AM PDT
- Central Time: 10:30 AM CDT
- Eastern Time: 11:30 PM EDT
- British Time: 4:30 PM GMT
- European Time: 5:30 PM CEST
- Indian Time: 9:00 PM IST

Spy x Family Season 1 Will Run for Two-Cour
The creators still haven’t confirmed the official episode count for Spy x Family Season 1. What’s confirmed, however, is that the season will run for two cour. In anime, one cour runs for three months, and with weekly releases, each cour completes around 12-13 episodes. So, it’s safe to say that the anime’s first season will complete around 24 episodes in its two-cour run. Also, it will be a split-cour anime, and the first part will start in April, but there’s no confirmation around Part 2 of the season.
